Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or playing AFK Armada ("the game", "we", "our", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the game. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use of the game constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and play AFK Armada
• If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials

3. Account Rules

• You may operate multiple accounts ("alts") using our official My Armada system, which requires an active subscription ($5.00/month)
• Alt accounts must be linked to a designated main account through My Armada — unlinked multi-accounting outside of this system is not permitted
• You may transfer in-game items and credits between your linked accounts using the My Armada transfer system
• You may not share, sell, trade, or transfer your account to another person
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your accounts, including any linked alts
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

4. Acceptable Use

When using AFK Armada, you agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts, automation tools, or any third-party software to interact with the game
• Exploit bugs, glitches, or unintended game mechanics — report them instead
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the game's systems, servers, or other players' accounts
• Harass, threaten, abuse, or engage in hate speech towards other players
• Use offensive, inappropriate, or impersonating usernames
• Engage in real-money trading (RMT) of in-game items, currency, or accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the game service for other players
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the game

5. In-Game Purchases & Subscriptions

AFK Armada is free to play. We offer optional purchases and subscriptions to enhance your experience:

• Skill queue upgrades — expand your training queue from 3 to 6 slots ($0.99/slot or 3 for $1.99)
• Extra loadout slots — save additional ship fittings ($0.99/slot or 2 for $1.50)
• Extra hangar slots — store more ships ($0.99/slot, 5 for $2.99, or max 35 for $9.99)
• Extra market order slots — list more items on the market (+10 slots for $1.99)
• Commander's Notepad — in-game notepad for your own notes ($1.00)
• Username change — change your commander name ($1.00)
• Donations — optional support for the game ($1, $3, $5, or custom amount)
• My Armada subscription — manage and link alt accounts with instant transfers and account switching ($5.00/month)

All upgrades are quality-of-life conveniences. No gameplay advantage is sold — every ship, module, skill, and item is earnable through normal play.

By making a purchase, you acknowledge that:

• All one-time purchases are final and non-refundable unless required by applicable law
• Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time and will remain active until the end of the current billing period
• In-game items and currency have no real-world monetary value
• We reserve the right to modify pricing, availability, and functionality of purchasable items
• Purchases grant a limited, non-transferable licence to use the purchased content within the game

6. Intellectual Property

All content within AFK Armada — including but not limited to game mechanics, graphics, text, code, and audio — is the intellectual property of AFK Armada and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any game content without our express written permission.

7. User-Generated Content

Any content you create within the game (such as usernames, clan names, or chat messages) must comply with our acceptable use rules. We reserve the right to remove any user-generated content that violates these terms without notice. You retain ownership of content you create, but grant us a non-exclusive licence to display it within the game service.

8. Service Availability

AFK Armada is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes to the game at any time, which may result in temporary downtime. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the game at our discretion.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AFK Armada and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the game. This includes, without limitation, loss of data, loss of virtual items, or interruption of service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate any of these Terms of Service
• Engage in cheating, exploiting, or botting
• Harass other players or disrupt the game community
• Engage in fraudulent activity or chargebacks

You may also request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your access to the game and all associated data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the game shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the game after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
